“Fördergesellschaft Les Beaux Arts e. V.” within the few years of its existence has given to us an example for the revitalisation of a tradition of highest values in arts originally coming from the French ambience of the so-called “Salon” in the 18th century. Highly talented young artists – so far restricted to the area of music – are given the opportunity, to express and proof their talent in front of a knowledgeable audience – no longer being composers and artists themselves - and to discuss their interpretation with it after the performance. This is what distinguishes Les Beaux Arts’s performances in terms of its form and size from other commercial concert events, providing far reaching contacts to the young artist enabling a platform for further development of his or hers artistic talent. At the same time, such performances represent a space for muse, which to fulfil is a basic need of human existence.
Such initiatives deserve our acknowledgement and personal promotion due to the fact that we bear responsibility to pursue the care of arts to be handed over to the next generation of artists and thus we shall commit ourselves to contribute to the ongoing challenge aiming to enforce the quality and personality of a talent in an international competitiveness within a commercial environment.
On this background I wholeheartedly support the perhaps most ambitious and greatest project of this non-profit organisation to inaugurate the „International Piano Competition Sviatoslav Richter“ based in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany and wish the competition good luck!
I am proud to support “Les Beaux Arts”, and I am happy to accept its invitations as far as my other artistic commitments allow me to do so.
